Meet the Optometrist
Dr. Ruiz performed his undergraduate studies at the University of Houston. He completed his professional studies at the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1981. In 1992, Dr. Ruiz was licensed by the Texas Optometry Board in the examination, diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and disorders of the visual system, the eye and associated structures as well as the diagnosis of related systemic conditions. In 2000, Dr. Ruiz was licensed as an Optometric Glaucoma specialist by the Texas Optometry Board in the diagnosis and treatment of Glaucoma. In 2013, Dr. Ruiz was awarded Diplomate status by the American Board of Optometry.
